A QR code for your flyer or poster
Give each batch of flyers or posters its own dynamic QR code. You can then see which batch people scan, and change where the codes point while the campaign is still running.
Pick a look. Each one is drawn with your own link.

Optional. Your logo stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Scan it with your phone before you print.

You printed 3,000 flyers. Which ones worked?
A gym prints 3,000 flyers for a January offer. A thousand go through doors, a thousand sit on the counters of nearby cafés, and a thousand are handed out at the station. Twelve people sign up. Nobody can say which thousand brought them in, so next year the gym prints the same mix again.
Posters raise a second problem. The offer ends on the 31st, but the posters stay up into March. Anyone who scans one then lands on a page about an offer that has ended, or a page that has gone.
A code that opens the same page from every flyer, and opens it for good, cannot help with either problem.
One code, or one per batch?
For a single run that opens a page you will keep, a static code is enough. A flyer for a shop that links to its home page is an example. Make it with the generator above, for free. It works as well on paper as any other code. It just tells you nothing about who scanned it.
To compare batches, print a different dynamic code on each one. They can all open the same page. Each code keeps its own count of scans, so the station batch and the café batch can be compared within a week. When the offer ends, point every code at the next one, and the posters still on walls keep working for you.
Batches add up quickly, and the number of codes is capped: 5 dynamic codes per subscription. Planning more placements than that? Write to us for a higher cap while the artwork is still with you, not once the printer is waiting.
A campaign that has ended can still be paying for itself through the posters left up. Once you cancel and 7 days have passed after the final paid period, a scan of one of those posters opens a notice that the code is not active.

How it works
- Create. Make one dynamic code per batch and name it after the place it goes, such as "station" or "cafés".
- Print. Put each code on its own batch, and scan one copy of each before they go out.
- Update anytime. Compare the scans, and move every code to the next offer when this one ends.
What it costs
Static codes are free, with no account. Dynamic codes cost $49 a year, which saves 30% against paying monthly, or $5.90 a month. We recommend yearly. Tax is included. Every account starts with a 7-day free trial that needs no payment details, and a subscription covers 5 dynamic codes. Cancel anytime and keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
If you stop paying, your dynamic codes stop resolving once the paid period and a further 7 days of grace have passed. Nothing is deleted: the codes, their links and their scan history stay in your account, and every code starts working the moment you subscribe again. Static codes never depend on us. They keep working as long as the page they point to does. We never switch one off, but we cannot bring back a page that has gone.
Questions
Do I need a different code on every flyer?
No. Every copy of a batch carries the same code. You need a separate code only for each group you want to compare: one for the flyers at the station and one for the posters in shops, say. A subscription covers 5 dynamic codes, so decide on the groups before you send the files to the printer.
What should the code open once the campaign is over?
Something that is still true. Posters stay up for months after an event, and flyers turn up in coat pockets. Point the code at your next event, or at a page that says the offer has ended and what you have now. That is better than a page that has gone, and it puts the people still scanning to use.
What do you record when someone scans my code?
For each scan of a dynamic code: the date and time, the approximate country, the device type, operating system and browser the phone reports, and the referring page where there is one. You see all of it, as totals and as individual scans.
We do not store the IP address of anyone who scans a code, and nothing recorded is tied to a name or used to recognise the same person across your codes or on a later visit. Scan records are deleted automatically after 24 months. Static codes produce no scan data whatsoever — we never learn that the scan happened. Our Privacy Policy says all of this at greater length.
What if I need more than 5 dynamic codes?
Ask us. The ceiling is set per account and we can raise yours — email [email protected] with a rough idea of how many you need and what for.
Need to change the link later?
7 days free, no card needed. Make a dynamic code and edit it whenever you like.
